Hello

It’s been a while and for that, I am sorry, sometimes life just gets in the way and leaves you no energy to do anything else, which is a bit annoying. Still, I am here and I haven’t forgotten you. I do have a raft of recipes which I need to get typed up, so stay tuned.

Now however, I want to tell you about my day at the BBC Good Food Show. I always try and go to the ones based in London as they really are wonderful. There is generally something for everyone. I once went to the Cake and Bake Show and yes, it was good but there was way too much sugar craft, now, if that is your thing, then cool, but it’s not my thing, so I didn’t enjoy it. The BBC Good Food Show however, now that’s my thing.

This one at Hampton Court was great, lots of lovely stalls and as it was set in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, the stalls were spread out all over the one side of the gardens, so they weren’t all crammed on top of each other.

I went on the Sunday and sadly the weather was a bit cloudy, but it was still fun. As you will see from the pictures there was a lot of different variety. I sadly couldn’t get everything, but the gelato was delicious, as was the Irish Whiskey Cream, mmm.

We also spoke to a company which will triple distill your water. Who knew that we needed such a thing. It was tasty water though.

There were s surprising number of gelato stalls, it was very tasty and the colours were so pretty. For a change, we didn’t buy everything in site, and only came home with some black garlic from The Garlic Farm. So it was a great day out.

We tasted some yummy spit roast pork, so tender and that crackling, I would have paid good money for the crackling alone to be honest. We also got to see Hemsley and Hemsley, I had heard of them and thought that they weren’t really that good, but they certainly changed my opinion, such that i actually bought their book. They are all about eating healthy and well and not depriving yourself of certain foods.

So all in all we had a wonderful day out at the BBC Good Food Show.

Now you too can enjoy a day out at the BBC Good Food Show as they have kindly given me two tickets to give to one of my readers to attend the show.
