Hello. Today, I am bringing you another guest post, entitled “Eating on the Go” by Samantha. I do hope you enjoy the post.

Eating properly is a must, but what if you just cannot seem to do it? The tempo of modern life urges us to constantly be on the move and there is no way we can find time to cook three times a day. That is why many people eat on the go, prepare food in advance or find tasty choices near their home or work. Here are some ideas you can try when you are hungry, but have no time for a complete sit-down meal.

Food on the go

Soup might not seem to be the best option when you are on the go because it can spill easily, but that does not have to be the case. No matter if you make the soup yourself, or get it at a nearby deli, modern plastic containers with lids will prevent a disaster. When on the road, get a travel soup mug, and you are good to go. Whether it is tomato, chicken or broccoli, keep in mind that soup can help you regulate weight and keep you warm – all in just a few minutes.

Although your grandma used to spend hours making the tastiest pie ever, some of the best pies today are on the go. There may not be a great pie place on every single street, but, once you find one, you will want to come back to it. With so many options – from cheddar and spinach to Swedish meat pies – a couple of these hand pies will get you through the da

Sweet Pies

If you are a big fan of Italian food, but still want something else besides pizza, here is a meal you should definitely try. In addition to being available at every other corner, calzones are easy to make, affordable and will not take up too much of your time. Moreover, you can freeze them and take them with you to work a few days later. Simply reheat them in the microwave, and enjoy!

Although many people think you should minimize your intake of sweets when eating on the go, the rules are not that strict. What you are allowed to do, according to the experts, is opt for “small portions of bad-for-you treats”, and pancakes could be one of them. Since making pancakes takes a while, try searching your neighborhood for a good place that serves them.

Falafel Patties

When trying to keep your waistline intact, you have to consume healthy food instead on gorging on snacks and soda drinks. This is why falafel patties are a good choice everyone will appreciate. Packed with fresh vegetables such as carrots, broccoli and kale, these threats will come in handy at any time of day.

Healthy Muffins

Not all muffins have to be packed with chocolate and totally harmful – some of them can include healthy items like kale, tuna and spinach. You can make them over the weekend and reheat a few every morning. Alternatively, if you really have a sweet tooth, prepare a muffin in a mug really quickly and eat it while commuting to work.

Other Choices You Can Carry in Your Bag

Besides these, there are other foods you can prepare in the morning, carry in your bag the entire day and include in your daily menu. Whether it is one of the high-protein choices that will give you energy, a healthy snack or a smoothie, it will do the job. Finally, keep another trick in mind – plan ahead and decide what you are going to eat in advance. This way, you will minimize the chances of choosing unhealthy food, eating too much or not eating at all.
